This is a GREAT Halloween costume for someone looking for something different than all of the short short women's costumes out there... The open laced back gives enough hint of skin without going "too far". Definitely glad that I ordered the large though since the top does seem to run small (I usually wear a 6 to an 8 but the large (14-16) fit perfectly). The skirt was fun & long (even with 5" heels!) so I ended up holding it part of the night so others wouldn't step on it (p.s. mine also had a red ribbon to adjust the height of the slit vs. the black one shown in the picture). Overall its a fun & very versatile costume that could be worn year after year - I removed the slightly cheezy medallion (it wouldn't stay facing forwards anyways) & wore a necklace of my own - which means you could easily wear anything to adjust your look for the occasion...
