Gloves and Mitts
"If it doesn't fit, you must acquit." This became the famous phrase that Johnnie Cochran used to persuade the jury that his client, O.J. Simpson, was not guilty of murdering his ex-wife and her friend. He argued that since the murderer's gloves didn't fit Mr. Simpson, he could not have possibly have committed the murder. The jury may have required a lot of convincing, but you don't need a lawyer to tell you that you should check out our great collection of gloves and mitts to accessorize your costume for your next Halloween event or theme party.
Many popular characters wear gloves with their outfits. This includes superheroes, video game characters, clowns, horror movie villains, ninjas, flappers, princesses, and bikers. If you are dressing up as any of these types of characters for your next costume event, then chances are that you need a pair of gloves to complete your outfit. A superhero costume like Iron Man or Spider-Man just wouldn't be complete without a pair of gloves. Characters from Super Mario Bros. also need those cartoon gloves to complete their looks, and we bet you can't even picture Mickey Mouse without his big white gloves.
While a pair of gloves seems to be the norm, there are characters and personalities that go against the grain and break away from the two-glove style. For example, Michael Jackson made the one-glove look extremely fashionable – even to the point where people didn't want to buy both gloves anymore. He usually wore a single white glove or a silver sequin glove, which always seemed to fit so well with his outfit. Another character who became popular for wearing a single glove is the antagonist from the Nightmare on Elm Street series, Freddy Krueger. His single finger-claw glove is enough to give any child nightmares.
